A personal note from the founders

The truth is simple:

We can’t keep living like this.

We can’t keep consuming more than what the planet can give.

We can’t keep filling our plates with food that depletes our health, disconnects us from nature, and erodes the fabric of our communities.

And yet — that’s what’s happening.

Most of the food we consume today is processed and filled with additives rather than a source of nourishment. It’s designed to be cheap, convenient, and addictive, but not to nourish. Not to mention the lack of care for the soil, the farmer, or the person eating it. Its impact is showing up in rising emissions, in failing health, in a growing sense of disconnection.

Maybee was born from the belief that we can do better.

We started Maybee because we want to change how we interact with food, as individuals and as a society. We are strong believers that food isn’t just fuel, it’s a powerful force that allows us to live out our dreams and possibilities. A daily decision that touches everything:

We wanted to make that easier.

So we opened Maybee.

We wanted Maybee to be a place where food brings people together and where every dish tells a story of care and connection. 

We work with local growers and producers because we want to support our local community and spread the fruits of their labour. 

We keep our menu seasonal, because the planet has a rhythm worth respecting.

We make food with warmth, because that’s what makes it worth sharing.

This Is a Beginning

Maybee is just one small step. But a step towards a better world nonetheless. It’s a step towards balance, sustainability and reconnection. Towards societies that thrive within planetary boundaries.
