But when creating Maybee, we aren’t creating another nice place to grab lunch. We aren’t competing with the best local cafés or trendy takeaways.

Because the truth is: we don’t just have a food problem. We have a system problem. And most of the food we’re consuming today is part of what’s breaking it.

At Maybee, we believe food is more than fuel, and that eating is never just a personal act. What we choose to eat, how it’s made, how it’s packaged, and how often we eat it… all of it tells a story.

And too often, that story is one of harm:

Chains like McDonald’s, Starbucks or Burger King didn’t get big because they served food that made us healthier, or communities more resilient. They got big by optimising for cost, convenience, and consistency, often at the expense of everything else.

It’s not that they’re evil. But they reflect a version of society that’s simply not sustainable. And by continuing to support them, day after day, we vote for that version with our wallets.

We serve 100% vegetarian food, sourced locally and seasonally, crafted with health and climate in mind. Meals that you can heat up in your office microwave, eat on-site with colleagues, or take home after a long day, all without sacrificing your values.

But Maybee isn’t just about food. It’s about habit. Culture. Mindset.

It’s about creating a real alternative to ultra-processed, high-emission, socially disconnected meals. It’s about making thoughtful eating easy, several times a week, for all kinds of people.
